Country Pursuits
We aim for a country show that encompasses all aspects of rural living to entertain and educate people from all walks of life. There are plenty of country pursuits at the Show, many of which the public can participate in – great fun for those familiar with them and a learning experience for those not so familiar.
The Hants and Berks Ferret Club will be bringing along their ferrets so you can get up close and personal with these friendly creatures; learn more about ferret welfare, care and handling whilst dispelling commonly-held misconceptions. Not forgetting, of course, having some fun too!
The Cotswold Show aims to be right on target with the introduction of laser clay shooting and have-a-go archery to this year’s host of family-fun activities. Under the watchful eye of experienced instructors from Birds Hill Days, youngsters and adults alike can put their precision and accuracy to the test and enjoy a taste of these exciting countryside pursuits.
If you like watching highly-trained dogs demonstrating their skills, the National Gundog Weekend is running throughout the Show and Ye Olde Redtail Falconry Display team will give you the opportunity to see birds of prey up close. |
