Countryside Arena

The Countryside Arena provides a snapshot of all aspects of rural living and gives visitors the opportunity to take part in the host of country pursuits on offer from gundog handling to coarse fishing!

Cliff Waite with his team will give an insight to those who would like to train dogs to work in the Shooting Fire.  His experience with gun dogs is second to none and you'll be amazed at how Cliff's dogs respond to his commands.  Cliff will also be demonstrating the do's and don'ts of shotgun and airgun safety for both beginners and those with more experience.

Two coaches from the Angling Trust will be running free half hour visitor participation angling tuition events in the Countryside Arena, followed up by a fun competition and the ATEO will be demonstrating the safe use of airguns as a recreational sport.

Rare Breeds Parade

The RBST is the leading conservation charity working to restore Britain's native livestock to their rightful place in our countryside.  The rare breeds parade will give you a glimpse of these wonderful creatures from Gloucester Old Spot pigs to Dorking poultry.  To see the rare breeds up close visit the Rare Breeds Pavilion.

Working Horse Display

We welcome Fiona Jackson from the Corinium Working Horse Display Group with her beautiful 18.2 hands Clydesdale, 'Bill' as Fiona demonstrates how to place a show harness and comments on the part working horses play in rural life.
