Country Pursuits

We aim for a country show that encompasses all aspects of rural living to entertain and educate people from all walks of life. There are plenty of country pursuits at the Show, many of which the public can participate in.

The Hants and Berks Ferret Club will be bringing along their ferrets so you can get up close and personal with these friendly creatures; learn more about ferret welfare, care and handling whilst dispelling commonly-held misconceptions. Not forgetting, of course, having some fun too!

The Cotswold Show is delighted to bring back laser clay shooting and have-a-go archery to this year’s host of family-fun activities. Under the watchful eye of experienced instructors from Birds Hill Days, youngsters and adults alike can put their precision and accuracy to the test and enjoy a taste of these exciting countryside pursuits.

If you like watching highly-trained dogs demonstrating their skills, the National Gundog Weekend is running throughout the Show and Ye Olde Redtail Falconry Display team will give you the opportunity to see birds of prey up close.

Our Living Working Countryside area is a showcase of traditional countryside arts and crafts with wood carving, dry stone walling and kipper smoking demonstrations on show.
