Monster Trucks

Big Pete and the Grim Reaper come to the Cotswold Show this year to astound, amaze and excite your senses.  Watch the biggest monster trucks in Europe crush everything in their path!  Weighing in at 7.5 tons and standing 15ft tall by 18ft long, Big Pete is the ultimate answer to entertaining children of all ages. 

The phenomenon on Monster Trucks started back in the late Seventies when a number of pick-up enthusiasts liked the idea of making their pick ups bigger and better.

One man, named Bob Chandler, who had stuck some large tyres on his Ford F250 pick-up truck, decided to drive over a couple of junk cars in a field to promote is 4x4 shop.  A few months later he did it again, but this time it was at a stadium in front of a crowd.  That truck was called Big Foot.

Monster Trucks have come a long way since then. Today's trucks are so technically advanced compared to the first monster trucks that we first saw back in the mid to late Eighties.  Today's trucks all have lightweight tubular chassis frames and fibre glass bodies.
